ISL Planning Grant Submission 2026-2027
The Institute for Successful Longevity (ISL) invites FSU research faculty to apply for its Planning Grant Program 2026-2027, which opens its application portal in January 2026. This program is designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and support innovative research or creative activities that advance successful aging and longevity.
The ISL Planning Grant provides an opportunity for faculty to explore new research directions or expand existing projects with the goal of generating preliminary data that can lead to future federal funding.

Key Highlights of the ISL Planning Grant Program:
- Collaboration Requirement: Applications must include at least two FSU researchers, preferably from different disciplines, to promote interdisciplinary efforts.
- Funding: Each project is eligible for $25,000 in funding. Please note that faculty salaries are not covered under this program.
- Purpose: Aligned with ISL’s mission to enhance opportunities for successful longevity in aging populations, the program is modeled after the CRC Planning Grant Program and serves as a first step toward external (federal) funding.
