ISL to Host Special Screening of Silver Screamers at the Challenger Learning Center

ISL invites students, faculty, community members, and older adults to join a special screening of Silver Screamers on June 27, 2026, at the Challenger Learning Center IMAX Theater in Tallahassee.

The event will feature a screening of the documentary film Silver Screamers, followed by a Q&A session with director Sean Cisterna.

Silver Screamers is a heartwarming documentary that follows a group of older adults as they step outside their comfort zones to participate in the making of a low-budget horror film. The film highlights themes of creativity, resilience, lifelong learning, social engagement, and the importance of community connection in later life. Since its festival debut, the documentary has received international attention for its uplifting portrayal of aging and intergenerational collaboration.

Director Sean Cisterna is an award-winning filmmaker known for projects that explore human connection, storytelling, and community impact. Through Silver Screamers, Cisterna brings attention to the transformative power of creativity and meaningful engagement across the lifespan.
