The Institute for Successful Longevity (ISL) invites FSU research faculty to apply for its Planning Grant Program, which opens its application portal in January 2025. This program fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and advances research or creative activities that support successful aging. It provides researchers an opportunity to explore innovative ideas or expand on existing work, aiming to improve the quality of life and longevity in aging populations.

Key Highlights of the ISL Planning Grant Program:

  • Collaboration Requirement: Applications must include at least two researchers, preferably from different disciplines, to promote interdisciplinary efforts.
  • Funding: Each project is eligible for $25,000 in funding. Please note that faculty salaries are not covered under this program.
  • Purpose: This initiative aligns with the ISL mission to enhance opportunities for successful longevity. Modeled on the CRC’s Planning Grant Program, it serves as a stepping stone for collecting preliminary data to strengthen applications for federal funding.

  • Award Notification: May 1, 2025
  • Award Period: May 15, 2025 – May 15, 2026
