Julia Sheffler, Ph.D., gave a fascinating talk on diet, exercise and “Lifestyle Approaches for Intervening on Modifiable Risks for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias” as part of the ISL Brown Bag Series.

Dr. Sheffler is Assistant Professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Social Medicine at FSU’s College of Medicine. She is also Director of the Integrative Science for Health Aging research program in the FSU Center for Translational Behavioral Sciences.

Dr. Sheffler's research focuses on improving scientific understanding of risk and resiliency factors related to late-life health and cognitive functioning, with training geared toward understanding the complex biopsychosocial pathways through which neurocognitive disorders develop.
